With the Republican Primary well under way, few could have predicted how things now stand.
Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry, Michele Bachman and Herman Cain have left the race.
Rick Santorum has won some confidence by winning the preference polls in Minnesota, Colorado and Missouri.
Newt Gingrich is struggling to present a case that he can win the presidency, the primary or even more delegates.
Mitt Romney is on the ropes, fighting to gain some sense of momentum in the party.
Yet one candidate is not only proving doubters wrong, but actively accumulating strength and changing the Republican political landscape, Ron Paul.
People who do not believe in Paul say that he is antiquated, that his ideas about economy, foreign policy and government have no place in the U.S. of today.
People say he cannot win. Well, here is some news to naysayers: he has already won.
The answer is very simple: his Austrian economics are based on a sound monetary policy, particularly gold and a pure free market as it is written in the Constitution. His non-intervention, trade and diplomacy stances are key to his foreign policy.
He advocates a small government that is more intent on protecting its citizens' liberties and less on controlling them. He seems almost like a figure of history, fighting to attain the country that we do not deserve.
With these principles, he has built a following and won the hearts and minds of a generation of leaders and voters with his honest talk and demeanor. In him, the youth have recognized a steadfast statesman practicing integrity and honor.
Campuses nationwide have been rustling with talk of the Ron Paul Revolution, "End the FED," and "Peace and Prosperity."
Students are opening up to the wisdom of the Founding Fathers.
It was George Washington who said, "Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism" and "Observe good faith and justice toward all nations.
Thomas Jefferson said, "The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits" and "I own, I am not a friend to a very energetic government. It is always oppressive. "
Ron Paul may not win the presidency or even the nomination, but the race is not nearly over. His plan may not be solely occupied with thoughts of the White House.
Everyday new young voters and leaders take notice of the man who speaks from past wisdom, creating a genuine change in the political direction of the Republican Party.
I'm not saying that he isn't trying to reach the presidency, but I would say that his plans are of more noble ambitions to revolutionize the mindset of the American people.
One day in the near future, the Republican base will either have changed its foundations or torn apart in a revolt against the status quo, led by the youth who listened to Ron Paul.
Only one thing is for certain, the revolution is afoot, and Ron Paul has won.
