Visiting artist lectures tonight

This Thursday, Dec. 5, visiting artist Mark Steinmetz will be giving an artist lecture, sponsored by the ETSU student photographers association in cooperation with the ETSU student government association, on campus to lecture and provide student critiques.

Steinmetz is a nationally recognized American photographer and former ETSU faculty member. Steinmetz received his MFA from Yale University in 1986.

His work is featured in the permanent collections of over 14 museums across the country including The Art Institute of Chicago, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Museum of Modern Art. He has won two Guggenheim fellowships, published 10 books of his own work  and has exhibited his work worldwide. His artist lecture will be held from 6-7 p.m. at the Ball Hall Auditorium and is free and open to the public.
