ETSU students may vote for their favorite performers in two different genres to determine headliners for the fall 2014 Welcome Weekend and Homecoming SGA major concert events.

The online ballot will include a variety of alternative bands to determine who will perform for the Welcome Weekend outdoor concert, and a list of possible comedians to bring to campus for fall’s Homecoming Week celebration.

Working within a projected budget for each event and using the services of a contracted talent agency, the SGA Concert Committee will be presenting the following artists on each ballot: Alternative bands will include All Time Low, Anberlin, Cartel, Everclear, Finger Eleven, Five for Fighting, Gin Blossoms, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Mayday Parade, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Mute Math, New Politics, Reliant K, The Starting Line, Theory of a Deadman and Yellowcard. Choices for comedian will be Amy Shumer, Bill Engvall, Brian Regan, Dana Carvey, Drew Carey, Frank Caliendo, Jim Gaffigan, Joel McHale, John Oliver, Nick Kroll, Monique Imes and Retta.

Polling is scheduled to take place March 3-7.

All students will receive email notification when the polling starts and a reminder will be posted on the ETSU website homepage in the Campus Information announcements section.
