Track falls just short of repeat championship
The East Tennessee State men's track and field team outscored Kennesaw State 141-120 in the final day of competition of the Atlantic Sun Championships, but it wasn't enough to defend last year's crown as the Buccaneers fell short to the Owls, 177-172, in the final team standings.

Scruggs shines, Bucs fall
The Eastern Kentucky baseball team came out swinging with a 7-6 extra-inning victory. They rode momentum for an 8-2 game two win to complete the doubleheader sweep of ETSU Saturday at Thomas Stadium. Senior Matthew Scruggs led the way for the Bucs offensively as he went a combined 3-for-7 in the two games with two home runs and three RBIs.

Career-high play leads Bucs to win
Isiah Brown has got moves. But I'm not talking about on the dance floor. The 6'8" senior forward spun, pump-faked, and slammed his way to a career-high 27 points, leading the ETSU men's basketball team to a 65-50 rout over North Florida Saturday afternoon inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center.
