ETSU’s Student Government Association will consider a resolution to post legislation on the website to improve student awareness of its activities.

Sens. Chrys Barker, Molly Crabtree, Jayke Hamill, Jessica Treadway and Zach Tuggle sponsored this resolution.

“The sponsored piece that requires SGA to upload legislation to their website a week before voting on them is really imperative to ensure that SGA is transparent in how they conduct business,” Hamill said. “I was truthfully unaware that it wasn’t being updated regularly until the football legislation seemed to blindside so many students.”

Hamill believes that though some students will not read the legislation online, giving them the opportunity is necessary to keep the students aware of what their representatives are discussing on their behalf, he said.
