Student rises to the top of scholastic ladder with help of martial arts

Eddison Williams went from a 0.8 GPA to ETSU's highest grade ever on the national chemistry final - a metamorphosis he attributes to a foundation in Tae Kwon Do and the willingness to ask for help. "I think my strength is not my intelligence," said Williams, a 27-year-old ETSU student.

ETSU renews Aramark contract

ETSU Dining Services has re-selected Aramark as its vendor in a brand new 10-year contract. "In a panel, the university grades each contractor by a point system. It's a conglomerate effort. Everybody chooses the vendor that they think has the best offer to meet the goals of this university," explained Andrea Crawford, dining services Marketing Manager.

Is SGA out of debt? When will ETSU host the next major concert? These concerns have prompted many students to inquire with the Student Government Association. "Each year students pay into the SGA student activities account," said Sally Lee, associate vice president of Student Affairs.
