Jazz program, concert brings national recognition to ETSU

On April 17, Jazz Fest, a three-concert annual series that brings international jazz performers to ETSU, will be held at the D.P. Culp Center Auditorium. The event starts at 7:30 a.m. and lasts until 10 p.m. Admission is $5 for students, $10 for the general public and $20 for VIP tickets.

Student-athletes aim for careers in sports

A lesson of motivation, professionalism, talent and humility is what junior Seamus Power and senior Enrique Olivares have to offer their teammates, friends and fans. Olivares and Power are international student-athletes who have distinguished themselves in their sport at East Tennessee State University.

Former FDA commissioner to speak at ETSU

Dr. David Kessler, the former Commissioner of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), will present The End of Overeating: Controlling America's Insatiable Appetite on Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in the Carnegie Hotel's Grand Soldiers Ballroom.
