Members of the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance travel to Washington D.C.

This past weekend, nine members of the Majority Leadership Alliance of ETSU went to Washington, D.C., to participate in the National Young Women's Leadership Conference and Congressional Day of Action. This was the third annual conference held by the Feminist Majority Foundation.

Corey Smith, Shane Hines and the Trance to perform at Freedom Hall

Headliner Corey Smith and opening band Shane Hines and the Trance will be performing this Friday at Freedom Hall Civic Center in Johnson City beginning at 8 p.m. The pairing will feature mixed styles, fusing together Smith's southern acoustics with Hines' indie rock singer/songwriter sound.

President continues to make history on 'Late Show'

On Thursday, March 16, history was made when the president of the United States made an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." This appearance was received with mixed controversies being the first by any president while in office. Many argue that with the present state of the economy, it was just not the right time for any public comedy by the commander in chief.
