'Positive/Negative 24'

"Positive/Negative 24," an annual juried exhibition at East Tennessee State University's Slocumb Galleries, continues through Feb. 20. Juror Pradip Malde will give a lecture, followed by an awards reception this Friday (Feb. 6) in conjunction with downtown Johnson City's First Friday celebration.

Reece Museum looks for volunteers

The Carroll Reece Museum at East Tennessee State University is looking for volunteers to serve in various aspects of clerical support and educational programming, as well as those willing to work with the museum's 20,000 artifacts. Individuals may volunteer from five to 20 hours each week.

Jan. 19, 2009 Student was arrested for making a false report and Criminal Impersonation in Lucille Clement Hall between 10:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Jan. 21, 2009 Student reported the theft of property from locker room in the C.P.A between Jan. 21 2:45 p.m.
