Lady Bucs battle Western Catamounts

The Lady Bucs volleyball team had a rough night Tuesday against the Western Carolina Catamounts. Lauren Baufield, a sophomore outside hitter, had an amazing game with 16 kills, although it was not enough to keep the Buc's head above water. They unfortunately fell to the Catamounts after five matches.

ETSU softball releases 2009 schedule

Coming off its winningest season in program history, head ETSU softball coach Andrea Mangrum released the 2009 Lady Buccaneer schedule on Tuesday afternoon. ETSU boasted a program-best 30 wins in 2008, but after falling short of the Atlantic Sun title game in May, coach Mangrum and the entire Lady Buccaneer team has one goal in mind - win the conference title.

Monty's earns her A-Sun Player of the Week ETSU women's soccer forward Jordan Monty (Mesquite, Texas) earned her first Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week honor of 2008 season, the conference announced Monday. The junior helped the Bucs clinch a spot in its fourth A-Sun conference tournament, after firing in both game-winning goals against Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast, this past weekend.

Women's golf enjoys solid show in Palmetto

Freshman Mayte Vizcarrondo (Cadiz, Spain) and junior Sinead O'Sullivan (Galway, Ireland) finished tied for third on the individual leaderboard, helping power the ETSU women's golf team to a second-place team finish following third and final round play in the Palmetto Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Oak Point Golf Club.
