Dear Editor, I would like to support Harris in her articles and ask that she continues with them. Freedom of speech applies to all, not just Christians, but please do not back down writing because others do not agree. You have a lot more support than you realize.
Dear Editor, I would just like everyone to move past the religious based articles in the ET. The author has the right to write and you as a reader have the right not to read what they write, plain and simple. If you do not like something then just skip it, it is not that hard.
Dear Editor, Let me begin by expressing my surprise when I first saw the RYAN WEBB/East Tennessean "Walking by Faith" article that has run in the ET this semester. As an outspoken and proud Christian myself, I find Whitney Harris' articles very pertinent and inspirational to the religious community on campus.
In the Oct. 16 issue, in an article that covered the LGBT rally that took place on campus Alex Bryant, a student who participated in the march, was interviewed and quoted. As an ally and an advocate of the transgender community, I was hurt and offended to see that Bryant was referred to as "she" in the piece.
