ETSU's arboretum creates beautiful, informative campus for students

As students hurry across campus, often with cell phones out, talking and texting, they may not even notice the small black placards at the bases of many of ETSU's trees. But if you are a biology student you assuredly have run into this collection of trees known as the ETSU Arboretum.

SGA discusses parking proposal, smoking ban

A parking proposal was presented to the Student Government Association on Tuesday, which would redistribute all existing parking into three separate categories. Residential, commuter and faculty/staff would be the three parking classifications of the plan which was introduced by new parking director Calvin Cooper.

Fit Kids promotes fitness, fun

According to the Centers for Disease Control, Tennessee is ranked third in the nation for childhood obesity and 47th for overall health status. Because of this high ranking, Congress passed Public Chapter 1001 for the 2007-2008 school year, making 90 minutes of physical activity per week mandatory for elementary and secondary schools.
