The East Tennessean's recent shameless plug for campus sponsored escort services and the ETSU administration's silent consent of such is nothing short of deplorable. Not only is prostitution illegal under Tennessee state law, any who engage in such acts are morally bankrupt.
It seems as if I am speaking to the wind when I strongly call for training, personal responsibility and common sense in regards to firearms on campus! Kenneth McDonald remains enamored by his own misinterpretation of the empty holster silent protest. We students, who hold sacred our right to keep and bear arms, do not wish, nor intend, to become supplementary law enforcement on campus.
"Solutions to problems cannot be found in a pool of bitterness." These words were reverberated through the chambers of the House of Representatives on Nov. 15 by Representative and former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert, giving his farewell speech to the Congress.
