Facebook's controversial face lift

Concerns have surfaced about recently added Facebook features known as the News Feed and Mini-Feed. For many students Facebook has become part of a daily routine. Facebook is a popular online community where students can connect, but the new concern is over whether or not the News and Mini-Feeds make too much information available to the public.

ETSU shows off diversity at annual Multicultural Expo

The Multicultural Expo taking place this Tuesday, Sept. 12, promises a diverse atmosphere of fun, food, and entertainment. The Expo will be held at 7 p.m. in the Culp Center Ballroom and is open to the entire campus community. The goal of the Expo is to embrace the different cultures and ethnicities on campus, to welcome all students and to show them the different organizations and resources available to them.

Off-campus students' fire safety ignored

The burning started at 4 a.m. Anthony Kralik, a senior digital media major at ETSU, had been reading by candlelight when he fell asleep in his off-campus apartment last October. "September is National Campus Fire Safety Month," said Daniel O'Brien, health and safety specialist and fire prevention manager at ETSU.
