Picture a tie-dyed T-shirt. We all had one growing up. Some of us may still wear one. Really picture what the tie-dyed pattern looks like. In my eyes, a tie-dyed T-shirt is more than just a pattern and a shirt. Something so simple can have a bigger image behind it when you just open your heart and truly look at it.
There are many different colors that make up a tie-dye pattern. Yellow, green, pink, blue, orange, purple, etc, but in a unique way all these different
colors come together in the middle through a spiral pattern. They blend together to something
greater in the middle. When you truly think about it, this is much like our lives. We all have different colors, different
aspects of our lives that blend together to make us who we are. Thankfully for me, the middle of my colored spiral is God.
I may not be perfect, but I am many things in my life. I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, a student, a Christian, a writer, a nurse and a girlfriend. I have likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, successes and failures. I, like you, have many different aspects to my life. I feel like I am running on the go all the time trying to be my best at all these things. I trustingly
know that without God I wouldn't be able to be any of these things. The colors of my life, the yellows, the greens, the blues, the oranges, they all blend and meet God in the middle of my spiral. God is the center of my life. He is the air that I breathe. He completes me.
I give you this thought today. What is the middle of your tie-dyed spiral? What completes you? What blends all your colors together in the middle of your T-shirt? I pray that it is faith. Some of you may not have a center. Your colors may be scattered and not in a particular
pattern. Your spiral may be broken. My prayer for you is that you realize you picked this paper up today. For some reason
you walked to that newspaper
rack, picked up this small paper and flipped to this article. It wasn't a coincidence. God led you to this article. He wants to be the center of your spiral. He
wants you to need him.
Proverbs 16:9 tells us that "A
man's heart deviseth his way:
but the LORD directeth his
steps." God is there. He already
knows your colors and the
design of your spiral. He just
needs you to open your heart
to him.
The next time you see a tiedyed
T-shirt remember this
thought. Think about what may
be in the middle of that person's
spiral. And think about yours.
Today my prayer for you is that
you evaluate your spiral. If God
isn't the middle … then open
your heart and get tie-dyed!

I would definitely agree that there's a similarity between a tie-dyed T-shirt and some of the common conceptions of gods. The human mind is a pattern-seeking machine that attempts to identify, catalog and gain an understanding of the world around us. (Continued…)

You appear to 'know' an awful lot about what God wants and does. Open your mind a little and save your writing talent for a more worthy cause.
